Fixed Attenuators:

A fixed attenuator is a passive device used to consistently reduce the power of a fiber optic signal by a specific amount, providing a constant level of attenuation for signal control in various applications.

Variable Attenuator:

A variable attenuator is a device that allows for adjustable reduction of signal power in a fiber optic link, offering flexibility to fine-tune signal strength according to changing network requirements or varying optical power levels.

  • Return Loss: > 50 dB (PC), > 55 dB (UPC), > 60 dB (APC)
  • Attenuation Range: 2 to 80 dB, with 0.01dB resolution up to 10dB
  • Fiber Type: Single-mode (9/125 micron), Multimode (62.5/125 micron)
  • Wavelength Dependence: < 0.3dB change in insertion loss for 1300-1550nm. < 0.05dB for 1525-1570nm
  • Power Handling: Up to 2Watts CW
  • Temperature Range: -35°C to +70°C (less than 0.3dB change in insertion loss)
  • Humidity Range: ±0.2dB change in 10% to 90% humidity range
